Helping FORSBERG+two position and promote their suite of apps

A “top to toe” treatment – from well-optimised app listings to a hardworking content marketing strategy

If you’ve been active in the Shopify ecosystem for any amount of time, chances are you’ve heard of FORSBERG+two. As well as developing some wildly successful apps, which form a mainstay of many merchants’ store stacks, founder Björn Forsberg is also an active, generous and engaging member of the Shopify partner community.

The FORSBERG+two stable of apps is impressive. They offer five separate products: Order Printer Pro, Order Printer Templates, OrderlyEmails, OrderlyPrint and Digital Downloads Pro. While each app performs a distinct function, they’re tied together by a few common threads – improved customer experience, better brand consistency and improved internal efficiency.

“It’s really nice, especially given our past experiences, to get content and just feel ‘wow, this is great’. It’s such a weight off our shoulders to know that content is being produced to the standard we hoped it would be.

When our specialism in Shopify just makes sense.

Although the FORSBERG+two team have a fantastic working knowledge of the Shopify ecosystem, they knew they needed help with marketing.

“We’d been talking about outsourcing marketing content for a while. And we tried a different agency for some articles, but we didn't really like the quality of content they delivered.” explained Sarah Forsberg, Head of Brand, Marketing and Accounts.

Realising the importance of finding a partner who truly understood Shopify, with the ability to gain a solid understanding of their business and apps, they contacted Kollectify.

The difference was clear, according to Sarah:

“The articles were very good, and the process has worked smoothly. When Kollectify started producing our content, it was clear that they had a really solid understanding of our apps and how they worked.”

“The whole process has been fantastic. It's been a learning process for us. We feel like marketers now, as even though we're not executing a lot of it, we're learning about it at the same time as it's being provided.

How we work with FORSBERG+two

Kollectify have worked with FORSBERG+two on more than their content marketing strategy. Björn and Sarah came to us seeking “top to toe” optimisation of their online offering. We conducted deep dives into brand positioning for their apps, as well as optimising their Shopify App Store listings. This work involved a series of online workshops – one for each app – which culminated in the production of clear, actionable reports, packed with recommendations.

“Talking it all through and doing the workshops was really helpful. The strategy documents were really good too - they set out ‘here's what your app is, this is how people see it, this is how competitors are looking at things, and this is how you should approach things’”, said Björn.

Kollectify also worked with FORSBERG+two to deliver Shopify ads advice. This included researching and making suggestions for targeted and adjacent keywords, bid and budget strategy, as well as advice on maintenance and optimisation in future. Kollectify also helped with technical SEO advice, via a technical SEO review, reporting calls with our SEO expert and suggestions for recommended fixes linked to ongoing technical SEO health.

“When Björn reached out, I was delighted. I had followed the FORSBERG+two journey for a few years and always admired their dedication to the Shopify ecosystem. To be able to help scale their impact has been a very enjoyable experience, and I’m extremely proud.”

How we benefit FORSBERG+two

Since working with Kollectify, FORSBERG+two have been featured on the Shopify App Store and seen overall traffic to their website increase. While this can’t be directly linked to the optimisation work we’ve conducted together, they’ve also seen more engagement on social media and report feeling as though they understand both their business and their customers better.

They have fresh insight when it comes to presenting the benefits they offer in a more enticing way.

With a lot of content continuing to roll out, things should only get better. Sarah commented on the ongoing value of good quality content:

“I'm really happy that we've got some great content on our website that's going to keep working hard for us for us in the future.
